As the quality of light shifts and slowly increases, what is waking within you? I can feel further integrations taking place (some of them quite crunchy), as new perceptions arise from the motion to re-emerge. This threshold time brings faith and gently nurtures the just stirring earth. She whispers “hold onto your dreams, they are precious as the promise of spring”.
February's gathering is in honor of Lunar Imbolc. As Doum Tek Womb celebrates it's 1 year anniversary and enters a new cycle of inspiration, we'll be exploring the tambourine and the unique jingle magic that this ancient instrument holds. Using the voice of the tambourine to celebrate the cyclical rebirth within nature and ourselves, we'll explore a sacred rhythm in six - played in a traditional Celtic music time signature, as an offering to Brigid.
The dark earth will soon part ways to reveal new life. What is upswelling and opening within you? Aligning with the drum's vibrational force, we'll call forth and spark our destined dream seeds of creation. Brigid's flame lighting our expansion and growth for the year.
Synchronizing our minds and bodies and gaining access to other levels of awareness, we will rhythmically come together in sistership kinship with the Land and the sacred sites within our own being. Through the pulse of our feet and the sensual joy of our hands on the drums, we'll enter a prayerful playful procession - just as the Keepers of the Drum have done for so many thousands of years.
This gathering is an opportunity for shared connection, as we drum together in union for the year ahead; weaving the web and uplifting one another's heart longing and soul's callings.

Fueled by the teachings of Layne Redmond, author of “When the Drummers Were Women” – we will learn and play the basic foundations of the tambourine and explore rhythm as an empowering tool of innerworld discovery and transformation. Within a container of feminine magic, we'll incant our voices and move from the creatrix pulse of life within.
Pre-registration is highly recommended and needed to hold your place.
