Doum Tek Womb is a container of feminine magic rooted in the art of women’s frame drumming —coming together in circle to conjure joyful wisdom and move from the sacred pulse within.
Learning techniques of how to play elemental rhythms, we will weave together in remembrance as being technicians of the sacred; discovering the drum as an extension of our own personal wombs and the ability to touch and shape our lives in communion with the living songlines of Gaia.
Guided by an ancient lineage of women frame drummers, we will create rituals and craft prayerformances; incepting new eras of awakening and initiation of feminine power.
Ganaia’s path was catalyzed by personal loss and the womb whispers of ancient rhythms. When the sound of the frame drum first found her, it echoed through the chambers of her heart like a call from another time. She followed that pulse and discovered a living bridge between her womb, the Earth, and the songlines of creation.
"The drum was the means our ancestors used to summon the Goddess and also the instrument through which she spoke. The drumming priestess was the intermediary between divine and human realms. Aligning with sacred rhythms, she acted as summoner and transformer, invoking divine energy and transmitting it to the community".
—Layne Redmond, author of “When the Drummers Were Women”
